This is Geoff McFarlane, CEO and Co-Founder of Winc. I wanted to reach out personally to tell you a little more about the company and see if you have any questions about our current raise.
Winc was founded in 2011 based on the shared belief that wine should be more accessible, simpler to get, and easier to enjoy. We believe Winc is unique within the wine market because of how we leverage data from our customers (3.3mm+ ratings from 500k+ customers) to identify trends and produce wines that are beloved by the masses. We believe our access to real-time feedback, along with our omni-channel model (online and wholesale), serves as a formula for scale.
Since launching the campaign, we’ve raised $3.31mm from more than 1,686 investors. Here are some business highlights we’re particularly proud of:
- $200mm in lifetime revenue
- 195% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) from inception through 2018
- 14mm+ bottles sold
- Raised over $44.8mm from prominent investors like CrossCut Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Shining Capital, and Cool Japan Fund
