Electric scooters have become hugely popular in recent years by offering cost-effective and environmentally-friendly transportation. But the market has been flooded with cheap models that use substandard parts.
Scooterson aims to stand out by making premium, intelligent electric scooters. Using high-end materials such as aerospace-grade aluminum, carbon-fiber, and custom designed tires, the Scooterson team has created a unique and stylish electric scooter.
Their scooters fully integrate with mobile phones through an app. This allows deep customization, battery management, unlocking, and more. Scooterson scooters have advanced sensors including accelerometers, compasses, gyroscopes, as well as g-force and temperature sensors. Active grip handlebars provide haptic feedback while riding.
Scooterson has designed 2 models for consumers: The entry-level model (ELF), and the flagship model (rolley). They will offer customers the choice of buying the scooter outright, or subscribing to a monthly plan for carefree ownership. Scooterson will sell directly to consumers, eliminating middlemen and creating the potential for high profit margins.
Scooterson’s Air model is designed specifically for B2B customers such as golf courses, tourist destinations, food delivery companies, and more. Scooterson has already made $1.1 million in pre-sales to consumers and businesses from July 2020 to October 2020, and is now preparing for manufacturing.
To date Scooterson has raised $2.8 million from investors including Elevate VC and HAX SOSV. This new round of funding on Republic is intended for production costs, product launch campaign, and further marketing and sales expenses.
